HAIX’s professional footwear fulfils all basic safety requirements (category SB) as well as meeting additional norms (S1, S1P to S3) in some cases. Boots and shoes are manufactured in accordance with various safety norms depending on the area of intended use by bodies such as the fire brigade, police and rescue services.

Category S1P safety boots, for example, are slip resistant as well as featuring a toe cap. They are also antistatic, resistant to oil and petrol, have a puncture-resistant sole and guarantee an energy rebound effect in the heel area. In the case of fire brigade boots, heat insulation also plays an important role in terms of safety. For this reason, product descriptions always state the performance of a boot’s outsole when it comes into direct contact with heat (HRO category).

Many models feature an integrated layer of PU foam which extends across the whole of the area of the sole. This material weighs very little and helps to create a product which is extremely light. HAIX safety boots and shoes offer a secure grip on any surface and are equally able to cope with steep slopes, wet roads or oil-covered floors in workshops. Outsoles are manufactured in a special abrasion-resistant rubber compound with a bold tread. This makes them high slip resistant and enables you to achieve a safe footing at all times. Some models include a special heel cup to offer extra stability.

HAIX’s patented Arch Support System has been integrated into many models. This allows the shoe or boot to adjust to the anatomical form of your feet, thus supporting the joints and reducing pressure on the whole of the muscle system.

A toe cap manufactured in glass fibre reinforced plastic or steel fulfils a highly efficient function. Its anatomical form and extra breadth offers maximum protection against any falling objects. This means that you will enjoy maximum comfort, even after long periods of wear.
