SAFETY WHEN CARRYING OUT SAWING TASKS
HAIX forest boot are extremely robust and will offer you all the protection you need as you go about your daily work. The cut protection models, the Protector Light and the Protector Alpin, are fitted with a rigid toe cap. They offer cut protection class 1 and cut protection class 3respectively. This is even sufficient to shield you against the sharp teeth of a chainsaw. A special cut protection inlay prevents injuries.
All of HAIX’s forest boots have a light and yet enormously robust sole to guarantee total slip resistance, even on rubble and stony ground. The Protector Alpin also has an exchangeable claw element integrated into the bridge of the boot. This prevents any slipping off to the side when moving over branches and twigs. The soles of HAIX’s forest boots provide very effective insulation against the cold and are also resistant to heat, oil and petrol.
FORESTRY BOOTS FOR ANY WEATHER
A GORE-TEX® membrane means that HAIX forest boots are completely watertight whilst still allowing your feet to breathe. They also feature the HAIX® patented Climate System. The system uses the pumping movement generated as you move along to expel sweat in a completely natural manner.
Forestry boots which offer both safety and comfort
HAIX forest boots are designed to cope with all the professional demands and challenges you face. These include slippery ground, wet conditions, extreme heat and the dangers of handling heavy machinery. Our boots are a premium piece of forestry equipment which also offers a high degree of cut protection.
They have been specially designed to provide the following benefits.
- Safety at work
- Slip resistance
- High breathability
- A cushioning and energy rebound effect
- Insulation against heat and cold in the sole area
Even though their main purpose is to provide protection when working on extreme terrain, HAIX forest boots also boast an extremely attractive look. The Protector Forest model, a light cut protection boot (level 2), is particularly appealing in this regard. Its orange and black signal colour design not only looks smart but also provides extra safety.
Safety when working with chainsaws
Using a chainsaw requires a high amount of concentration and attention. This particular piece of equipment is the number one cause of serious accidents amongst forestry workers. All HAIX forest boots are fitted with an anatomically formed protective cap to ensure maximum safety. The Protector Alpin is categorised as offering cut protection class 3, the highest level available. Its special inlay will even protect your feet against a chainsaw moving at 28 m/s.
Slip resistance in any situation
In terms of providing slip resistance, the Protector Alpin very much takes its inspiration from nature itself. An integrated claw element in the bridge of the boot prevents slipping off to the side when moving over branches and twigs. This also significantly reduces the risk of slipping on dead and waste timber or on wet surfaces and tree trunks. All of the other boots in the HAIX forestry range also have a stable and robust rubber sole. This provides impressive and dynamic toe-to-heel movement as well as giving a cushioning effect. The soles of our forestry boots are also resistant against heat, oil and petrol. This means that you will not leave any mess behind you when the working day is done.
Protection in all weather conditions
Most HAIX forestry boots have an inner lining made of high quality GORE-TEX® fibres. These prevent penetration of water or other liquids as well as offering a high degree of breathability. No sweat will remain in the boot, even after a long day at work. The specially designed HAIX Climate System also helps to expel any moisture.
HAIX forest boots provide a perfect mix of protection and comfort and are recommended by the German Forestry Advisory Board (KWF). Discover HAIX’s innovative range of forestry boots yourself!
