HAIX K2

Forestry workers are constantly on their feet carrying out all manner of strenuous tasks such as felling trees, harvesting timber and constructing pathways. The HAIX K2 is also extremely comfortable. A PU (polyurethane) impact-absorbing wedge integrated into the heel cushions your steps as you go and reduces any strain on the joints or spine.

A firm foothold on various terrain

Your work is likely to involve moving across level and firm surfaces as well as negotiating slopes and slippery foliage. The K2 is a lightweight mountain-style boot which ensures a firm foothold on any terrain. A robust sole and a bold tread means that it is highly slip resistant, and a rubber edging also ensures maximum lateral stability.

Crampons may also be attached if you wish to work in particularly steep or icy areas without any fear of slipping.

The HAIX K2 also features an especially stable plastic/fleece insole which offers a high degree of torsion resistance and enables you to move safely over unpaved roads, rubble, mud, snow and ice. The insole also reduces discomfort from individual pressure points created by stones or roots underfoot.

Upper material 

• The HAIX K2 is manufactured in robust water-repellent leather. Despite being nearly three millimetres thick, this is a material which is particularly breathable.
• The sides of the boots do not contain any seams. This means that they will not rub your feet or create any pressure points.
• A two-zone lacing system enables the foot and calf areas of the boot to be adjusted to different tightness in order to provide a perfect individual fit.

Lining, inlays, toe cap

• An abrasion-resistant lining inside the K2 means that your feet will feel comfortable and fresh all the year round.
• A four-ply GORE-TEX® membrane provides water resistance and a high degree of breathability, whilst a fast-drying anatomically formed inlay reliably absorbs sweat. The insole may be removed and washed if required.
• A micro-dry lining at the cuff of the boot allows moisture to escape.

• As well as preventing penetration by any stones or roots.
• The insole will not easily bend and thus provides a firm grip.

Sole 

• The outsole of the HAIX K2 comprises a particularly hard-wearing mix of rubber and PU (polyurethane).
• Its bold tread offers particularly good anti-slip properties and is more abrasion resistant than the tread found on comparable boots. 
• Side rubber edging help provide a secure foothold regardless of the terrain.
• The sole of the HAIX K2 is antistatic and heat resistant and can also be used with crampons attached.
• It will protect your feet against hazardous materials such as oil or petrol.
• A PU wedge integrated into the heel area reduces strain on the back and joints by cushioning your steps as you go.
