PROTECTION EVERY TIME
Rescue workers take their life in their hands in order to save others. For this reason, durable and reliable footwear is an absolute must. HAIX safety boots meet the requirements of the EN ISO 20345 standard, and some models are even suitable for use as fire fighter boots. A puncture-resistant sole prevents any penetration by sharp objects. The rubber used in its manufacture is also resistant against oil and petrol, whilst a waterproof CROSSTECH® membrane keeps chemicals, blood and other liquids completely at bay.
REDUCES PRESSURE ON THE BACK AND JOINTS
Because you wear your safety boots all day long, they need to be comfortable and provide a perfect fit. HAIX’s patented Arch Support System matches the natural curvature of the metatarsus. This effectively prevents any malpositions of the feet whilst cushioning your steps s you move along and thus reducing the strain on your spine and joints.
MAXIMUM CLIMATE COMFORT
HAIX fire and rescue boots are outstandingly suited to both indoor and outdoor use. The leather used in their manufacture has been hydrophobised, i.e. treated chemically to make it water repellent. Special pigments reflect the sunlight to prevent any unnecessary overheating, even at the height of summer.
A firm grip on any terrain
Paramedics do not know where their next job will lead them. They may be required to contend with wet roads, slippery stone surfaces or uneven tracks. For this reason, HAIX safety boots feature a particularly slip-resistant sole with a bold tread. The rubber used in the manufacturing process is extremely robust and highly durable, even with frequent wear. The sole also offers the following properties.
- Resistant to oil and petrol
- Puncture resistant
- Resistant to heat and cold
- Colour fast – no ugly marks left behind on light-coloured surfaces
Protection and climate comfort
Special pigments in the leather upper reflect the sun's rays and stop your professional boots from overheating. The leather has also been hydrophobised to prevent any penetration of rain and dampness. In addition, a CROSSTECH® membrane ensures that your fire and rescue boots are absolutely watertight whilst still remaining highly breathable. Sweat is able to evaporate and be expelled. However, at the same time, chemicals, bacteria and bodily fluids such as blood are unable to penetrate.
State-of-the-art technology – the HAIX Airpower range
The Airpower product range is available in low-shoe and ankle-high models, both of which can be put on and taken of extremely rapidly. A two-zone lacing system guarantees a firm fit within seconds once the right adjustments have been set prior to using the boots for the first time. On all subsequent occasions, all you need to do is slip into the boot and fasten with a single tug. This is a highly practical feature during emergency calls when every second counts.
Regardless of whether you opt for the Airpower or a different model from the Rescue Collection, all HAIX fire and rescue boots fulfil the relevant safety prerequisites stipulated in the EN ISO 20345 standard. This means that they provide protection against chemicals and bacteria, are resistant to oil and petrol and have a puncture-resistant sole.
